Dave Somero brings more than 40 years of experience in the concrete construction industry, with decades of hands-on knowledge and perspective gained from working in a constantly evolving field.

Dave resides in New Ipswich, New Hampshire, and remains closely connected to the community and industry he has been part of for much of his career.

Nathan Somero grew up around the concrete business as one of Dave Somero’s sons, making S&S a part of his life from an early age. After graduating from high school in 1985, he joined the company full time and has remained an integral part of its growth ever since. During his tenure, S&S has grown more than tenfold, and Nathan was involved in the early testing and development of laser screed technology that would go on to transform the concrete flooring industry.

Over the years, Nathan has worked on concrete projects in six countries and across 30 states. He takes particular pride in S&S’s commitment to quality, the work the company stands behind, and the many awards and Golden Trowel honors the team has earned. To Nathan, those accomplishments reflect the caliber of S&S’s people, equipment, and teamwork.

Above all, Nathan values the strong team that has been built at S&S and the people who continue to carry the company forward. His outlook remains simple: work hard, take pride in what you do, support your teammates, and keep the faith.

Niel Somero is an owner at S&S, where he focuses on research and development. In his role, he helps explore new ideas, equipment, and methods that support the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and continued improvement.

Outside of work, Niel enjoys hiking and cooking and values time spent with his family as a husband and grandfather. He is also active in his community through marriage ministry, where he and his wife help support and encourage other couples.

With more than 33 years in the concrete industry, including 32 years full-time with S&S, Matthew brings extensive experience to his role in pre-construction, sales, and estimating. He enjoys collaborating with the S&S team to take concrete projects from initial concept through completion and seeing the lasting impact their work has for the people and businesses they serve.

His path into the concrete industry began somewhat unexpectedly. After growing up working on his parents’ blueberry farm and spending a summer in manufacturing, an opportunity to help his uncle and cousin on an S&S project introduced him to the industry. He was immediately drawn to the teamwork, pace, and sense of accomplishment that comes with a successful concrete pour. More than three decades later, he still finds it rewarding to be part of an industry that continues to evolve and shape the built environment.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, family, and grandchildren. He also enjoys motorcycle riding, mountain climbing, and trail running.
